About Us

Welcome to Melbourne Smashers Badminton Club!

The Smashers is a diverse and friendly LGBTQI+ social badminton club for adults
based at the Melbourne Sports Centres at Albert Park (MSAC) where we currently play three sessions per week.

With over 300 members, we are one of Melbourne’s largest LGBTQI+ sporting clubs, and also one of the largest badminton clubs in Victoria.

We pride ourselves on being welcoming and inclusive, with an active social calendar that operates alongside our badminton sessions. We have a good mix of player abilities, from beginner through to state level, but there is no expectation of amazing skills on court—we were founded around a shared love of badminton and community, and our goal is to ensure that our Members have fun whilst being physically active.
